Items on the National List that are allowed in organic production and as ingredients in organic and made with organic products are coming to the Sunset clause date.  Many of these listed ingredients and materials may be coming off the National List of Allowed Materials.  These items may be allowed to remain on the National List depending on the National Organic Standards Board recommendations, public comments, and the National Organic Program.  If you use any of the items coming due for re-review, be a part of the public comment process.  The Comment deadline for 2012 sunset materials is February 13, 2012.  For more information on what items are coming under re-review and the sunset date, go to: http://www.ams.usda.gov/AMSv1.0/getfile?dDocName=STELPRDC5096045
